My name is Vanessa, and my husband is called Rob. We have 3 kids together, and are a very happy loving family.
We are a child minding business and can therefore take all funded 2 and 3 and 4 year olds too!
With a playroom just for the kids, what more could they want!?

At Nessies Nippers, we love to celebrate everything! Aside from the obvious Christmas, Easter, Mothers day, Fathers Day, we love to celebrate chinease New year, nursery rhyme week, we help and raise money for charities throughout the year, we do Red nose Day, pancake day, themed days, all of the ‘national days! And there are a lot! Haha!’ and lots more! If there is nothing in particular for a certain month, then we go with a theme for the month and base everything around that.

Nothing pleases me more than seeing kids thrive, learn and love life! I enjoy doing things and spending time with them watching them grow and achieve higher.

I have a separate playroom for them which my kids love and so would yours! It has many different lights in there, with LED flashing lights around the edge of the ceiling, and coloured flashing light at the other end of the room.

I also love the outdoors and think that it plays a big part in a child’s life. I am also on a bus route and literally a minute walk from a bus stop, 5 minutes from the motorway, and a 10 minute walk from the local school. This can make your life a lot easier if you are using public transport.

We aim to provide a high service to the children and yourselves. We have to follow the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage,) and our aim is to encourage the children to the targets they should be hitting. This is used all throughout nursery’s and school as well as child-minders. We want to hit these targets in the best possible way, and this is normally through playing and activities! If there are ever any concerns or areas which need to be worked on, this will be reviewed and discussed with yourselves and together we can work out the best solution. We aim to have a good relationship with you the parent/carer, and would hope that you feel comfortable with me looking after your child.
I have assistants that work alongside me and help Nessies Nippers run fluently and smoothly. They are all registered through Ofsted, First aid trained, safeguard trained and then any further training we are interested in/requirements within the setting.

My husband Rob will very rarely work with me as he has a full time job, however if there are any emergencies then he is also an option for us to give the easiest and best possible care to the children.

The others will be working with me when they are needed to keep to the ratios that we have to go by. They are very kind and caring people, and loves kids just as much as I do! Together we are very enthusiastic and love coming up with new ideas and activities for children!

Everyone is registered through Ofsted, have an enhanced DBS check, and first aid trained.

Philosophy

Childhood is the most important part of someone’s life. We are able to recognise the child’s developmental needs, and areas where their strengths are to work and progress with them. Every child is unique and every child should be valued just the same. Working through the many areas of their learning,- physically, spiritually, emotionally, academically etc is making them a stronger person and better at their skills as well as learning new ones such as life skills.

Children also get bored very quickly which is why they need new experiences all the time, different surroundings, new and different activities, and all this still enables them to learn through this play. I will provide a loving and caring surrounding for them and they will be treated just like my own.
